This is an invitation to European Brewer operators to participate in the thirteenth Regional Brewer Calibration Center for Europe (RBCC-E) intercomparison that will be held at Lichtklimatisches Observatorium LKO (Arosa, Switzerland) during the period\u00a0 30 July – 10 August, 2018.<\/p>\n

This thirteenth campaign will be a joint exercise of the Regional Brewer Calibration Canter for Europe (RBCC-E) and the Regional Dobson Calibration Center (RDCC-E) with the support of MeteoSwiss and of the Global Atmosphere Watch (GAW) program of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO).<\/p>\n

In November 2003, and within the GAW\/WMO program, the Regional Brewer Calibration Centre for RA-VI Region (Europe) (RBCC-E) was established by Iza\u00f1a Atmospheric Research Centre (I-ARC) at Iza\u00f1a Observatory (IZO, Canary Islands), managed by the \u201cAgencia Estatal de Meteorolog\u00eda\u201d (AEMET, Spain). Technical and organization information of the RBCC-E can be obtained at rbcce.aemet.es<\/a>. At present, the RBCC-E maintains a triad of reference instruments. The Regional Primary Reference Spectrophotometer (B157) and the Regional Travelling Reference Spectrophotometer (B185) are part of the triad. Each spectrophotometer is calibrated independently with the standard Langley method at IZO and since 2011 transfer their own calibration.<\/p>\n

The travelling reference (B#158) operated by Kipp & Zonen (K&Z) experts will also participate in this intercomparison. This will allow participants to request the technical servicing and maintenance on their instruments with K&Z during the campaign.<\/p>\n
