18th WMO-GAW BREWER WORKSHOP – VIRTUAL

The eighth Regional Brewer Calibration Center for Europe (RBCC-E) intercomparison take place at at El Arenosillo Atmospheric Sounding Station of the Instituto Nacional de Técnica Aeroespacial (INTA) from June 10-20, 2013.
The campaign were organized in collaboration with the Area of Instrumentation and Atmospheric Research of INTA, with the support of the Global Atmospheric Watch (GAW) program of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and a CEOS Intercalibration of ground-base spectrometers and lidar project of the European Space Agency (ESA). In total 30 participants of 10 different countries attended the intercomparison with 18 brewer spectrometers. Whichs allow to have a global view of the brewer network performance.
At the same time of the campaign a brewer operator training course was held, in collaboration of the Extremadura University and funded by WMO through Spanish Trust Funds which cover the participation of Morocco, Algerian and Egypt operators.
