We are happy to announce that it is now possible to generate WOUDC files in EUBREWNET!
For example, you can generate monthly CSV files using:
http://eubrewnet.aemet.es/eubrewnet/woudc/csv?brewerid=157&date=2019-01&level=1.5&file_version=1
Please replace 157 with the serial number of your Brewer, enter the desired month, and specify the EUBREWNET product level to generate (1.5 or 2). More detailed information on the new woudc/csv function is available at the EUBREWNET documentation page.
Note that these files also take into account the newly implemented Exclusion list — this is a new option of the Configuration setup which allows to manually reject observations that are not properly filtered by the EUBREWNET processing. There is a new post on the EUBREWNET page explaining the configuration setup, and the documentation on the wiki has also been updated.
Also note that the metadata included in the WOUDC files (Station Name, Agency, etc…) are taken directly from the WOUDC and GAWSIS APIs. This does not include the Scientific Authority, which is not currently available at the WOUDC API and is taken from the EUBREWNET IP. Please check on the station configuration the WOUDC ID code as is used to access the WOUDC API metadata.
EUBREWNET has an account at the WOUDC with the capability to send data from several stations, so automatic submission on a monthly basis can be implemented for the station that desires to use the EUBREWNET processing for this purpose. However, at this moment only the file generation is available. If you want to send the EUBREWNET-generated files but these particular files are already at the WOUDC, remember to change the file_version parameter: if the files have the same version, they will be rejected. Only the higher version is visible at the WOUDC.
Anyway, before we implement the automatic submission, we would like to make further tests with several stations. Please, make a test with your Brewer and let us know if you find any issues with the Exclusion list and/or the WOUDC files.
Thanks in advance!
