El Arenosillo Atmospheric Sounding Station of the “Instituto Nacional de Técnica Aeroespacial” (INTA)

Location
El Arenosillo is located at the 33 km point from Huelva – Matalascañas, in the pre-National Park of Doñana. On the road there is a small sign indicating INTA, which is easy to find because there is a 100m tall tower that can be seen from far away. El Arenosillo is 100 km from Seville airport and 150km from Faro (Portugal) airport.
Closest lodging to El Arenosillo is Mazagón, a small tourist village by the seaside, about 10 km distance. This is the most convenient place to stay.
Means of transport
International flights to Sevilla and Faro (Portugal). Faro option is only interesting if renting a car.
Travel by public bus:
- Buses from Sevilla to Huelva. Departures from “Plaza de Armas” bus station each hour approx. (8 €). It is advisable to take route by A-49 motorway because this is direct (one hour trip).

INTA is about 10 km from Mazagón, but do not worry if do not plan to rent a car, as other participants can share their car with you, as we usually do.
